Now, here's the Question of the Week:

What kind of experiences have you had, that could only happen to a parent of twins?

One thing I know has happened to many other parents of twins (myself included), is, having a doctor prescribe 2 of the same medication for each twin (like amoxycillin or whatever it may be), and then having to fight with an insurance company who only sees the one birth date and denies the 2nd prescription. It seems like every parent of twins I talk to, at one point or another, has had to explain to an insurance company the concept that, two children can be born on the same day :-p

So, what's your experience? You know you've had 'em! :-)

Please feel free to answer on Twitter (using the #TwinTuesday hashtag), on TwinHappy's Facebook Page, or even by simply responding to this post!

TwinHappy Hour

Every Tuesday, 6-7PM ET

Actually changing the time for TwinHappy Hour. I know a lot of people just couldn't make it that late at night, so will be starting it at 6PM (ET) from now on! This TwinTuesday, how 'bout another round of "If I had a nickel..." (the game where you share what you have heard, or what has happened to you, so many times, that if you had a nickel each time it occurred, you'd be a millionaire by now :-p)

Have questions about how all this TwinTuesday stuff works? Click here for a more detailed explanation! :-)

P.S. Looking to connect with other Moms/Dads/Caregivers of Twins on Twitter? :-)

  1. Tweeted and put it on Facebook!
As a relatively new mother to twins I can't think of anything that ONLY would happen with twins, but we sure do get a lot of comments about them when we go out. If a mother with one newborn thinks they get stopped and talked to alot, they've got nothing on the parents of multiples ;)

  2. Thanks again for the inspiration, Jen!
I have written a Twin Tuesday post in my Mamma Kerr blog about my experiences of being a mum of twins. You can read it here: http://www.mammakerr.com/2009/11/twin-tuesday-experiences-only-a-mum-of-twins-will-recognise/

  4. I always have to say "No, Twin 1" followed by a separate statement of "No, Twin 2." I now have two sets of twins and it's the same with the boys as it was for the girls!
